It's cold outside
Finished this scarf just in time; the temperature dropped from a balmy 80 degrees to an arctic 40. It went to a coworker who loves scarves and seemed thrilled to have a new one. The pattern is the Filippi Scarf from 101 One-Skein Wonders, and is made in a simple one by one rib with ruffled edges. My preference is for longer scarves, so I used more than one skein of Jo-Ann Sensations Angel Hair yarn.
This yarn is incredibly soft and slippery on the needles. Frogging is difficult because the little hairs tangle together, so it's a perfect yarn for quick and easy projects.
The pattern called for a k2tog bind off, a new one for me. I searched around and found several different directions and decided on the easiest one. It created a very loose end ruffle, which is sort of the effect I was going for, but I am not sure if the instructions in the book would have resulted in a tighter, better looking ruffle.
